Ozark Buffalo Hunt
Thursday, February 15th, 2007

In the late 1800’s the American Buffalo was almost wiped out. Today I am only aware of one place in the US where the American Buffalo can be hunted on public land. However there are several private herds that are available to be hunted on there native habitats all across the US. The Broadside Team recently hunted a privately owned herd located in the Ozarks of Missouri. The herds numbers topped 100 head. The shear size, speed and ability to completely disappear into thin air was absolutely amazing. ProStaff member Rocky Francis was joined my hunting guest Debbie Francis (no relation), the duo would try to take (2) of the herd bulls with Rocky’s BowTech guardian bow, InnerLoc broadheads, and Debbie’s 300 Win. Mag Scoped with a VX111 Leupold scope. It was a brisk 14 degrees with a light dusting of snow on the ground. Be sure to see this exciting hunt on an upcoming episode of Broadside Adventures.
